Hellhounds as protectors?
Jun 14 2011, 9:55 AM EDT | Post edited: Jun 14 2011, 9:55 AM EDT
My girlfriend and I believe that we have a Hellhound protecting us somehow. She can feel it laying down beside her when I'm not there, and I am the only male that can get within about a metre of her when she is in her room. We've spoken to a couple people about this that know about such things, and they all seem to think that it was somehow displaced or exiled for whatever reason. And this thing has marked us both with scratches in our sleep that shouldn't have scarred but did. Has anybody ever heard of a Hellhound either protecting someone, or of a hellhound being exiled or displaced before? 42  out of 61 found this valuable. Do you?

How do you know its a hell hound? We do have protectors, but they wont hurt or leave marks on us. You should re evaluate that hell hound theory.
But back to my original question, how do you know its a hell hound?

You know what sweety, my husband and just thought about it. Take pictures when ever you can feel a presence. That has helped us in the past when in doubt. my Apartment seems to be some kind of pit stop for them. 3  out of 9 found this valuable. Do you?

i am going to have to agree with melanio, how do you know its a hell hound? to be honest if your having something like that happen find a demonologist or psychic come to your house, it sounds more like you have a demon then a protector, not all demons have to be like the ones in paranormal activity or something. i have had a demon in my house which watched me and my family members sleep. how long has this been going on?

It has apparently talked to her, and its a male, but he told her he is a hellhound but not a true hellhound. I don't know what he meant by that. He has told her his name as well but she can't tell me what it is, says he won't like it if she told me. All she would tell me that he said was that she needed to get out of where she is. We know there is a demon somewhere close that keeps trying to get to her for some reason, but when this hellhound is around he can't get even to the door but you can hear him in the hall. We don't know exactly the nature of this demon but it is pretty pissed that he can't get near her. So somehow this thing is protecting her at some level but we can't figure out why. She sent me a picture of her bed when she felt him there and the picture doesn't show him directly, but i can see a depression in the bed from where he was sitting on it. It was in the shape of how a dog sits when they're waiting for a treat. It was kinda freaky. He looks to be about the size of a decent-sized bull mastiff or rotweiller. The weird part is that she re-purified her room a couple days ago and he hasn't been back since, but we are still interested to figure out why he was there and acting the way he was.

The purification might of worked with both the hell hound and demon. If this ever happens again. Please do the entire house, even the closests.
What has worked for me, to find out about my protectors, guides and so on is deep meditation. you'll know its real when you try to change the scene from one color to another, and it goes back how it presented it self to you in the first place. In other words your mind cant manipulate it. Trust me you'll know. And you can build your relationship with your guides from there.( The guides are there to protect you and guide you) We are all born with guides to help us through out our lives. You had asked WHY it was there, that i cant answer, But i have given you a key, Now its up to you. :)

what makes you say that. hell hounds are spiritual animals. and like all animals they can choose wat they will do. ex. if a dog is trained to hunt it can be a guard dog as well.

Hell Hounds only hunt for blood when commanded to do so.... if on thier own they want to have someone to protect. They will always protect who comands them.

hellhounds, are not protectors but they can warn people of bad thing that are to occur, other beings are afraid of the hellhound because of its great senses. 3  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

Not true. Hell hounds have been known to protect women and children if they think they are in danger. I have hellhoundS the protecting me as well. And the hell hounds do not feed on blood or souls. They retrieve them. Souls are only taken by hounds when a soul excapes from hell..not just because they can.

yes hell hounds are protectors. There are three types of hell hounds. I'm not going to tell you about the other two because I'm to lazy. the one going to tell you about is the guardian hell hound and its job is to guard a place or person if its guarding a person he or she is usually associated with hell.

I've known hell hounds to protect people before, and him telling your girlfriend that he is a hound but he isn't means he was turned into a hound and now knows how to switch between forms. And to all you nay Sayers I've got a shadow with glowing red eyes protecting me, why can't they have a hell hound protecting them?

I'm a psychic I have seen a lot of F**** up sh!t I to like to know more about hell hound. But as far as you and your grilfriend being marked up with scratches I think he is telling the demon and any one who may do you harm that you are his and he will protect you. 5  out of 6 found this valuable. I know it's been a long time since this question was asked, but I felt like I should post here in case anyone else is having this problem.

I have heard theories of hellhounds as protectors, for women at least. However, due to the supposed nature of hellhounds being agents of evil, perhaps people are mistaking phantom dogs (they're usually called black dogs, due to their black coloration) for hellhounds. A phantom dog is a far more likely situation for him to be in, and according to legend, they're far more likely to behave in a friendly, protective manner than a hellhound.

Of course, if his girlfriend is having problems with a demon, this could all be a clever ruse. Demons are tricksters, and you should all remember to always be careful when it comes to spirits of any kind. Especially if you think there could be a demon involved in any way.

I have a chihuahua. He protects me from the big mean scary monsters: Every time I imagine I saw one, I cuddle with him and they all go away.
