it would be cool if someone here wrote a few blogs relating to magical traditions around the world,
they could write about hoodoo,voodoo,conjure work, witchcraft and Wicca, golden dawn, Thelema, theosophy, chaos magic etc. just an idea

Goblin Grim learned today that his girlfriend of nearly two years passed away this past Wednesday.
I am in contact with him, he is in very bad shape, as one would expect, so he will not be on the site for some time. I will keep any interested parties apprised on Goblin's recovery. I do not know when he may return. Time has no meaning in the healing process so it is impossible to say when he might return. Thank you for your indulgence. -Crow.

Hello community! I need your help. Mythology is vast and filled with many interesting branches, bits of lore, and especially creatures! This site is nowhere near complete so we need a little help. If you have any information on the following creatures, I ask for you to enlighten us and broaden this site with your contributions. Hello dears, I hope you've all had a wonderful New Year so far.
For Christmas, a very close friend of mine gave me 'The Compendium of Magical Beasts: An Anatomical Study of Cryptozoology's Most Elusive Beings' by Melissa Brinks (author) and Lily Seika Jones (illustrator). The title alone was enough to take my breath away (literally), but what I read inside is quite remarkable. Pretty much everything from habitat, to diet, to history, to behaviour, to anatomy is described in great detail. Brinks goes so far as to give these creatures scientific names, such as Australopithicus scandius, the troll. I think it'd be cool if we were able to come up with our own scientific names for the creatures already described on this site, but I digress. Accompanied by beautiful illustrations, easy to read format, and an incredible attention to detail, this book is one of my favourites! If anyone has books to recommend, or has read this book too, feel free to let me know and we can discuss further.

Would I be considered a "witch" or an "oracle" if I used Tarot Cards? Or something else? I have just begun practicing reading them and also using somethings (chakra candles, mediation, etc) to help improve my self awareness and overall health.

When I first came to this site, I had a really romanticized notion of witches. Boy has that changed. :) Lol! I wanted to learn spells and be a witch but I'm learning that it's all so much more nuanced than that. I'm looking into Wicca, now a days. :)

Hey guys, I just noticed that the Hebrew sephirah has some correspondence with chakras. According to dion fortunes book and Israel Regardie that’s the case anybody knows any books that elaborate on this correlation ? I have been told 777 by aleister crowley but I don’t like Crowley’s difficult way of explaining things.

Guys, I had an idea. As I was trying to play around with the graphics of the site (i.e. the stupid header), I realized that this website is so......not user-friendly. It's...ugly.....and so limited in editing and design. It worked for so long because, let's be honest, no one including myself actually had the know-how and tools to be able to make it look like a real website.
So I was thinking, what if we moved it off WikiFoundry altogether and made a new site for it. All the info will be transferred and of course modified aesthetically to fit the overall design, but this way it can truly be made ours. If we want the legacy of MCG to be on a come up, it should be brought up to date from the ground up. Tell me your thoughts. Note: I am a graphic and web designer and with a little help, it would absolutely be manageable to achieve this.

I was cleaning out my bookmarks on my laptop when I came across this.
This is an old website, created by Goblin Grim, Erika Lancastor, Egalitaria and HeroLovesCats. The site has long since been abandoned but it is still haunted by such pages as this. (Link below) http://brownieshobgoblinboggarts.wikifoundry.com/page/PAGE+OF+NIGHTMARES.+%28PG-13%29 I am still in touch with all the people mentioned above, with the exception of HeroLovesCats (Sadly, HeroLovesCats seems to have disappeared, permanently). In any event, is there a chance we can add this page to this website? I find it intriguing. While I am sure that Goblin, Erika and Egalitaria would not mind, I can ask their permission. Just a thought.
