Dreamer in need of assistance

I had a dream where a sibling and I were orphaned and we came across a town a girl was really inviting to us, however after further inspection the towns people were eating human flesh and farming humans to feed off of. It was the entire town and they all appeared to be completely human. What type of creature could this be? Do you find this valuable?

There is a chance they were just cannibalistic humans in the dream. Though there are a few myths that I can't name off the top of my head, that would explain why the humans did it, or talk about their transformation into a subhuman species. (one of them is white eyes) 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
