Dreadlocks

The "snakes" on Medusa's head could have been dreadlocks. Many people with dreadlocks at that time were referred to as having a head full of snakes. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Goodness.... The things on her head were in fact snakes, according to legend anyways. Her snakes were part of the reason why people would turn to stone. You could say they were literally, "frozen with fear". Dreads my be very disgusting and just plain out nasty, but I don't think they would have the ability to turn people to stone. Do you find this valuable?
