This is false information and crap!

The term Gojira is the Japanese name of Godzilla and is the combination of the Japanese words for gorilla and whale. There is no Gojira in any part of Japanese mythology or folklore, this page is completely made up. Do you find this valuable?

I see your point.
But all folk lore has to start somewhere.
Gojira (Godzilla) is considered "contemporary folk lore". He is very much a legend in Japan, and is known world wide.
I think he deserves a page here.
He also turns 60 this year. (origional Gojira: made in 1954)

well, some people hate it when you count "movie monsters" as the same group as the myth and legends, often because even if a movie or book is based off a myth or legend, they get the information wrong and turn something once mysterious and alluring into a pop culture reject (Twilight definatly is a movie that ruins all base creativity and makes vampires into gothic rejects)
