I think we should hear him out, let him play all his cards on the table, and then try to show him where he is misguided. I mean if he was raised on this type on teaching then he is ignorant on many levels and just needs some good guidance. That being said though, hardcore religious fanatics can be tough to deal with since they tend to 'cover their ears', and i personally don't feel like dealing with that lol. Contradicting, but i feel conflicted. x]
