weird scary noise from woods in wisconsin.

me and my girlfriend heard what i thought sounded like a horse being attacked on the edge of the woods. she said that it is not a horse, she has lived with them for years and that was no horse. to me it sounded like a horse but you could here loud breathing and shrieking. any ideas what this could have been?? any help would be appreciated.

it could of been either of these: Somebody playing tricks on you. a hurt or dying animal. just an animal making noises. a animal or person being attacked. an object making a noise that sounds like what you heard. or......a cryptid.

A whitetail deer will make a shrieking sound that sounds partly like a scream and partly like a very loud exhalation when frightened. It is a very strange and disturbing sound if you are not familiar with it, and I've discovered that there are many people, even those who have been in the woods a lot that have never heard this .

I wouldn't jump to conclusions and say it was pne of these undiscovered creatures, I'm not saying it is not possible for them to exist but I just see a lot people who always jump to these conclusions when there is another explanation. It could have been an animal, like what someone else said, a whitetail deer, I've never heard their sound before but I know they make that shrieking sound, or maybe it could have even been a type a bird, I've heard some that make chilling noises when I go camping :)I 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Try looking up the cry of a bobcat they tend to shriek in the woods and belive me i nearly pissed my pants when i heard this in the woods at night, and i was with a group of my friends.
