You get taken by Tall Jake to Malice where he has taken several other children who do the ritual. Once there you have to fight for your life to leave and go back home. You need a special ticket that you give to the conductor and he'll take you home to the real world. Once kids come back they have no recollection of what happened to them. Few children leave Malice though, most die and others just try to live there. It's kind of like the maze runner if anyone's read that. Except it has comic parts and a bit different. Tall Jake kind of seems like a Slenderman. Maybe he was based off of one. I'm unsure of that though.
