Choices
Mar 5 2013, 3:53 AM EST | Post edited: Mar 5 2013, 3:53 AM EST
Hey guys, I need help. I have a feeling that somewhere in the near future, I will have to make a choice that will determine which path I take in life. I will have to choose between the life of a simple human and the life of someone who is directly involved in the world of the paranormal and supernatural. Both directions show blissful things to come as well as things close to my heart which will be taken away. The path of the human allows me to stay close to my family and friends. It allows me to live a life where things are less complicated. But my past will still be there waiting for me, waiting to devour me and take me back to my old ways. I will be left with a feeling that I was never redeemed for my sins, no matter how many times people say that I'm forgiven. I will never feel forgiven unless I can prove to myself that I am worthy. I will also be left with a feeling of helplessness. The life of the supernatural/paranormal is the exact opposite. I will finally be able to leave the past behind me, never having to worry ever again. I will finally be able to prove myself that I'm not who I once was and I will finally be able to stand up for myself. But I will have to leave all those who are dear to my heart behind and I will never be the same ever again. What do you guys think? Would you guys help me through this. My heart and mind are in complete disarray. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Why would your life change because of the supernatural?
Are you talking about being turned into a vampire or sonething of the sort?

I've always had a strong connection to the supernatural/paranormal. Whether I'm turned when this choice is made is still to be determined. All I know is that if I choose the world of the supernatural/paranormal, I will be opened up to a whole new world filled with new beginnings and dangers.

I understand that it's my choice but both paths are so unclear that it seems as if I'll get stuck at the fork in my future.

be careful; some descisions may decide themselves given enough time... and personally I wouldn't allow for the chance of a forced life in the paranormal ways(won't go into detail, but your family would be unwiliingly removed from your equation from a belevolent force, or you would lose your connection with the paranormal due to an experience; either way choose wisely and cunningly)

thing carefully, not always is the shape of your future designed by two perceived sides and no others, sometimes their is a side that you may have not seen....
all choices have three alternatives or more... but sometimes your choices aren't really choices, but sacrifices.

Don't do what you think is "good" or "bad" or "nice" just do what you think is right.

It's not that kind of choice. It's a choice between what I will lose and what I will gain in the future. And right now my mind says one thing when my heart says two things. I just don't know what I will do.

I won't give you no advice or tell you how to live your life, however I will say this. The future of any one given person consists of a series of doors which, are already opened, are easy to open, or hard to open. The future that you have seen, or been told is the one consisting of the doors which are already opened, that doesn't mean there is no other choice, but instead that you will have to decide if you want to follow the path of least resistance or forge your own life. Don't dwell too much on attempting to make decisions before hand or you might lose the opportunity to open those other doors, and end up making it so that when the time comes your future is already chosen for you. But the thing about these two doors that are open to me, is that it seems as if my heart and mind, maybe even my spirit, are drawn to them, and with every day it seems as if I'm inching ever so closer towards these two paths. Maybe it's my destiny for one of these paths to be my future. I have yet to see.

The open paths before you shall not easily release you, but they may not be the only paths available to you. If you truly hate or strongly dislike the paths, then go try to open up a new one no matter how hard it is.

I don't hate either path. I just hate that I will have to choose and lose things close to me due to that choice.

Everything comes at a price, the question eventually will be, what will be the cost to keep those "things" closest to you.

I say the cost of being normal in my original post. The paranormal/supernatural life's price will be to fight for what's right. No matter what sacrifices I have to make for doing good.
