Well I don't know the name of it, but there are many ways to take a being's power away. To any spell that removes someone's power there are many disclaimers; All spells of this nature able to be used by humans don't remove a being's power, merely hide it or seal it. In order to remove someone's power you must have a power at least ten times the power of that being, if not you are only hiding it. When removing someone's power you must either put the power in an object, thing, yourself, or use it to full a spell or enchantment. When the power of a being is successfully, completely removed, that being WILL die ( no ands or buts about it ).
Do you find this valuable?
