Funny theory developed by human minds; they created it because at night-typically under a full moon-people went mad at that time. Ever hear the saying, 'the night has a thousand eyes, and the day only one'? It basically means in night the stars and moons watch you, in day only the sun, i think it means more weird thing happen at night, more things are watching, naturally humans jumped to conclusions of what was lurking in the dark... Anyway, to answer your question, my theory is that's not true, if a werewolf is put under a significant amount of stress or paranoid, they can change, but i think its more common at night, night is a werewolves advantage.

My knowing is that they can change at will or yeah they're anger forces the change to take place, and irritation yeah and stress could cause their body to be overwelmed and they'd change.......i know because, yeah my friends are strange. Its funny the lore of lycanthropes, they posses the worst of our inner feeling and primal drives. When thought about the moon is a theif, stealing the light of the sun but at the same time under the cover of the moon we see the world for what it is, we are a speck in the universe of all things. Our fear and lure to the night is something that has been instilled in us for generations as of today most peole do not understand where that fear comes from. I believe the night brings out the truth in us our real nature, we are aplified to a level we dont understand but we also sence that we are not the most dangerous things out there. When asking for an answer to a quesiton such as that ask yourselve first what does your gut tell you, the greatest of scientist where not ignorant of the things they could not explain rather intriged, Alot of the first scientist of this world where alchemist, drudist trying to share what they experienced through what we call today as science, its been lost to it. Any change a man surcomes happens at night is it possible during the day sure but more profound and stronger at night. It happens to us all. The moon steals to suns light to to bath with world with the ancient ways we as a society have lost and all under the shroud of night. Many things go bump in the night a lone wolf isnt nor should be the greatest of the concern.
