If you would care to outline the differences of these two infused legends then maybe you would have cause to complain. Stating a surface observation, that is well known, solves nothing.

The differance is that for one a cockatrice is part basilisk and part chicken, and I have never heared of a cockatrice petrifying a person with one glance in any story

I believe that the difference between a cockatrice and a basilisk is the same difference between a tigon and a liger, it depends on which animal the "mother" is. I do not recall which one is which, sadly.

Wow. It doesn't matter which is the mom & which is the dad. It'll be the same thing eaither way! They are related, but one is mixed with something alittle different. That is the only difference. =^_^=
