THUNDERBIRD or very large black bird

While ocean watching in Northern California, I came upon a HUGE bird sitting on the cliff near the parking lot, about 6:30 am.
It was pulling at something it was eating. I would say the bird was bigger than my car...maybe 6ft high & 12ft. long, black shiny feathers..more like a crow than a pheonix from mythology. It flew away, and tho I came back several mornings, I never saw it again.

That was a Black Phoenix. They are very evil. They used to be apart of the Phoenix Kingdom but they turned evil. 2  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

Yeah.
I think they've been spotted in nearly every country in the world.

Wouldn't be too hard for them to travel long distances.

"Wouldn't be too hard for them to travel long distances."
Why? Do they have really good frequent flyer miles?
