I just read the description on Gama and instantly thought of Jiraiya from the popular anime Naruto Just had to say.

yea cuz that's the 1st toad summon u see him perform and all toad summons have the prefix -gama in their names.

The funny this is Gama is who he is based on, there is an old tale in Japan I can't remember it, but basically it involves the toad, the slug, and the snake which is also the old Japanese version of rock, paper, scissors. The toad feared the snake, the snake feared the slug, and the slug feared the toad.
