I'm kind of stuck on how to keep the story line going without it story being easy to predict from the get go or just out of left field, like "there is no way that would happen." Now I know its a movie about werewolf's but some parts have to have realm of believe ability to it or else it will just sucks like most werewolf movies do. Okay so here's what I've got so far.
Its 1925, mid probishion, four moon shinning brothers (2 full, 1 half and 1 adopted) from North Carolina go out on a standard run up to Chicago going throw the blue ridge mountains. While mid run they have a run in with the law, so they have to out run and out gun the law using all kinds of back wood roads and lots of bullets, but in the process get lost with (X)oz of shine and no gas thanks to the chase and driving a super charged truck. To prevent any more run inns with the law they can only travel when its fully dark out to be sure, using the moon light to guide them. But as they try to find there way back to roads they are more familiar with they are slowly being stocked by something in the darkness just out side clear sight, getting closer each time they have to stop to rest.
Now here is where i get stuck, the story already has action set up with suped up old trucks, guns, off road rally style fast chase, and the element of danger only getting closer every time they stop but just far enough away not to clearly see. I'm trying to go for the old fashion JAWS horror type where you don't fully get to see it but you feel it, you see the dark and you know something is there but you can't see it and it makes those hairs stand up on end. Taping into that primal fear of not knowing whats in the dark just out of sight.
