Gristors/Grister
A fictional creature from celtic/irish myth. Also known among many farry myths and folk lore. But also one of the least known.
This is drawn out to be like a scientists notes on creatures and survival tips of any encounters with them. Keep in mind though that these are fictional creatures. Or are they....?
I wont post the videos of the full story for the sake of time. But here are the links to a narration of one "account":
Part one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FztuiSqZPMg
Part two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhOZ89pmJsE
Overview:
The Grister/Gristors is in the basic term Grister for singlar and Gristors for plural. They have a social hiarcy to an extent like that of a honey bee but far more intellegent. You get the missfortune of spoting one and then they directlly relise you are looking at them you get killed or they cause you to indirectlly kill your self(explained in paragraph 3). Just as an example to what they are capable of. They stick around houses and rural areas mostlly. Though i've heard them being in really open areas as well. So i'm not all to sure if they have a preferice of living areas and conditions. I know them to be part of Irish mythology. And yet they seem to pop up were ever there are people. Being a bit like rats and scavangers when not provoked/feel threatened. They tend to coop up in places that have had a seriouslly large amount of death and/or fear behind them. Of corse they wont live were humans are present unless its to feed off of the emotions of the current resident/s.
There outter disposition and image is one you cannot forget. They very in size. The biggest one alwase being the leader. The smaller ones more like workers. And the meduim sized ones as free roamers or scouts. They each have the same face of that of a human but with teeth exposed with no gums or skin covering the teeth. They can walk on any surface irregaurdless of gravity seeminglly due to there physology and seeminglly light weighted body and log skinny limbs.
In some respects they normally will go unnoticed by normal human kind. Some apear as stray dogs or cats to the normal human eye. But come to the realisation that they are there and you will see them. If the Gristors realise you see them well.... Skinny and weak as apear. They do have claws that you would not want to be on the reseaving end of a big one if you get to close. The smaller ones tend to harras insted of killing right out. But they do have intellegeince. They will wait and will only attack when they see the most oprotune of times. Other times they will taunt you to the point of insanity. And in some cases to the point of suicide. They attack at night time mostlly while you are asleep as it is a harder time for you to fight back. They attack cats and other pets that can see them if they think you can see them as well just to phsycologiclly torcher you.
Survival tips:
If you don't think you can escape them don't try. There is no point in doing so. Eather endure and risk trying to pretend not being able to see them or you might as well consider your self in it for the long haul. The small Gristors will only be able to follow you indoors viea plumbing or any other crevice they can get into. If you plan on staying inside be sure you seal ALL entry ways that they could possibly get in. Starting an indoor garden is also something that helps if your to scared to step outside or risk encountering a larger Grister. Just be sure you have enough food to last you for durration that the plants are growing. If not you will have to risk going out for food untill the plants are ready to yeld. Carrots, tomatos, and some othe fruits are good indoor plants. If you have acess to a computer you have the resorces you need to survive long term. Be clever, and be safe.
Conclusion:
There has been no known survivors of any encounters with these creatures. However accounts have mannaged to survive from the time of there sighting to the sudden disapareince of the person that made them. So if you see one, don't look directlly at it. Here is to hoping that some of the tips given will help.
