  • What do Vampires look/sound like to you? I'm writing a book and it features all types of Mythical Creatures, though I am having trouble with one of my favorites.
Vampires, I know how I want them to be how they always should have been scary, menacing, hunters, night dwelling killing machines. But it seems that everythings been done, I want to add my own stamp on it. My Vampires are unassuming, humanoid looking at first, but it's the transition that I'm having trouble with. What I have now are their mouths open wider, top and bottom fangs, shrinking pupils and eyes that glow in the dark similar to how lions eyes glow, ( not sure of the color yet, since there are werewolves in my book so I don't want to confuse the two). Also they speed walk and can fly from one place to another in a blur. I've thought about the noises they make as well, I imagine them making similar sounds to that of a leopard.

Also what do you think of claws on Vampires? Too much? I'm afraid if I add too much it'll make them cheesy and if I add too little they'll be non- threatening things lol.

    So what do you think?

  • My opninion I'd like to just say that all myths and legends have come from somewhere which means people at some point in time have seen these myths and legends so there's actually fact in all of them.

and this is rather logical, makes more sense if you were going to curse someone it'd be like this, and she could still turn people to stone using her eyes.

  • Creature to never exist Ok guys and girls, I rarely post things here but I want to give this another go.

First off, to say that any creature does not exist is like saying the rain never falls. For a creature to exist and live you MUST look at three things it will need to survive. First off is Food, what would it eat, how far would it have to go for it and so one. Second one is Shelter, what would it use as a shelter, would it sleep during the day or at night and so one. Third and last one is Predators, what would want to harm it for food or territory. If you do not think of these three things while saying that a creature can not truly exist than you are not looking at the whole picture. To state that dragons do not exist is like stating that a shark will never bite you. Of course it would bite you, you just have to get it angry enough or provoke it enough. Dragons can be as real as you and me, but to say there is no way any such creature is out there just doesn't make sense. Dragons are highly intelligent beings and are well capable of being and going undetected. But to say such a mythical creature can not exist is just hogwash.

You must always look at those three things before stating that a creature does not exist. If you don't than not only are you not looking at the whole picture but you are blinding yourself to the possibilities of what really could be out there.

  • Cryptozoology I am curious to know everyone's thoughts on this. Please no rude comments.

People look for creatures that they claim are no longer living. Dragons, Megalodon, Bigfoot, etc. Scientist claim that these creatures could not exist because it would be impossible for them to have survived for this long without being seen. These creatures do not depend on humans to survive, in fact they try and stay away from humans. This is my question to all who will not leave rude comments.

What Creatures do you believe exist and why. I want to know what creatures you think actually live on this planet and plain of existence. Tell me where you think they would be and why you think they are still here.

Any rude comments will be dismissed. I do not mind a small debate, but I do not mean, crude, rude, or offense comments.

This also goes for myths and legends. I want to know, I am curious.

  • Confusion Need help here. I'm entirely confused, and I'm wondering if everyone who joined this site, or has come to it at least, believes in all of this. I was online looking for another name for Ire-demons, and I found this place. Not what I was expecting at all.
I've found places like this before where people look into the mythical creatures-thing, but no one ever truly believes.
Not trying to be a downer, but I suddenly got so excited when I found this place, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me a bit more about this.
If anyone wants to bother telling me anything at all, I would appreciate it.

  • Mhmm To be honest, their are many other gods, for one, Loki was trapped within a stone, with a serpent dripping venom into his eyes, while his wife holds a cup above his head, stopping the venom, But in the General thing, They also believe that earth, or to them, Midgard, was created by odins father first, who was melted from ice, who he then had odin as a child, who slew a gaint called Ymir, and his body parts became Midgard, Also, Other person, If you want a Name for a Lil Puppy, Odis isn't that good... Lul, I would check the lines of japanese or russian names, they sound quite cool.
