just because its a myth doesn't mean its made up. myths are stories that are often based on some sort of real event and then over time the story grows and changes to suit the needs of its listeners. myths often hold an answer to the origins of a civilisation and as such can be linked to true historic fact. Don't take my comment to mean I believe that huge creatures live in the Norwegian wilderness, just that it is not impossible, that at some point in the country's history, some group of humans inhabited these areas and began the troll myth.
