hey people.
I'm trying to find some more info about the stymphalian birds. As far as i know they appeared in (as far as i know) two Greek myths. They are sayed to be birds with metallic wings and/or metallic claws/beak,
and were able to launch there feathers at the enemie, slicing through every knowable armor.
in the myth it is says that the birds came from Arabia and later migrated to a different place, (the black sea/Africa)
any info would be very helpful.

Yea they were mentioned in the greek storie of the argonauts, and they probable were close to africa, strange is that those birds lives in swamps, and around the same time as the argonauts was written, legends of man eating birds in east africa started. Might be connected. Do you find this valuable?

if you look at the stymphalian birds from modern standpoint they remarkably resemble an apache helicopter before you mock listen. metallic wings? no bird is made of metal when they say wings they mean it had the power of flight! bronze beak and metallic feathers that could be launched at victims? sounds remarkably like a apache in midflight shooting metallic bullets and the bronze beak would be the muzzle flash...decide for yourself but that's what I think it is!
