Unicorns
What is a Unicorn :
A unicorn is often shown as a white beautiful horse with a large, pointed, spiraling horn projecting from its forehead.
The first Unicorn :
The first time that men spoke about a unicorn in the western world was around 398 BC. The man that first spoke about these
creatures was Ctesias. He described them as white wild donkeys that have a size of a big horse and with dark blue eyes.
On their forhead they had a horn that was about 30cm long. Ctesias called these creatures μονόκερους which means : They with the single horn.
The unicorns in the east :
Unicorns in China are called Ki lin. They are different from the unicorns of the west.
A ki lin has the body of a deer and the hoovs of a horse. Its head is very thin and it has a single horn on its forhead just like
the western unicorns. The unicorns of Japan are called kirins .They look very similar to ki lins but their body is covered with flakes.
Unicorns of the east are peaceful creatures and bring good luck to anyone who sees them.
The unicorns in the west :
The unicorns of the west are considered to be very wild animals that can attack someone easily and because of that
hunting them was very hard. Books written back in the 12th century adviced hunters to use a young beautiful girl as a bate.
The unicorn would sleep next to her while she carresed him and then the hunters would catch him and cut his horn.
It is said that the horn from a unicorn can detect any kind of poison.

usually all myth is based around fact. If all these people saw something similar they are most likely talking about the same thing. I read a story about a little girl who was the only witness in a murder, the man who did it was wearing a pointed green hoodie. She thought the hoodie looked like a dragon so she said a dragon killed them.
If all these people are saying the same thing then their must be something out there |
