Chimera DemonThis is a featured page

The Chimera, the name stemming from the Greek word "χίμαρος" or "Khimaros" (She-Goat) was, according to Greek mythology, amonstrous fire breathing creature composed of the parts of three animals; a lion, a serpent, and a goat. Usually depicted by Greek artists as a lion with the head of a goat protruding from its back, and a tale ending in a snakes head, the Chimera was one of the offspring of Typhon (last son of Gaia) and Enchidna (Mother of all monsters), sibling to creatures such as Cerberus and the Lernaean Hydra. Though the description above is the most common, the term "Chimera" has come to mean any creature that is the combined parts of two or more animals.
