Krampus - Mythical Creatures GuideKrampus, the Christmas devil, is known by many names: Knecht Ruprecht, Certa, Perchten, Black Peter, Schmutzli, Pelznickel, and Klaubauf. He is the fiendish companion and counterpart to jolly old Saint Nicholas. Where Saint Nicolas gives gifts to the good children, Krampus chains and kidnaps the naughty. His appearance is similar to the classic devil, having red skin, hooves, and horns. His tongue is equally as grotesque, being longer than a giraffe's. However, he can also take the form of a normal human male, or even a half beast, half human hybrid.
