Ladon: Greek Monster & Mythical Creature

Ladon is a ancient Greek mythical dragon that was mentioned in the Labors of Heracles.
Ladon was said to have many heads like the Hydra (30 or less), it had the arms, legs & body of a dragon (without wings) & a serpent/dragon tail. Ladon was said to be one of Typhon & Echidna's children, others say it is the offspring of Keto & Phorcys.

Capturing the Golden Apples: The Eleventh Labor of Heracles

Heracles killed Geryon & Orthus, King Eurystheus tells Heracles to fetch the Apples of the Hesperides from the Dragon, Ladon. Heracles arrived in the Garden of the Hesperides where Ladon guarded around the tree. Heracles encountered the beast. He killed the Dragon, then takes the apples & returns to Eurystheus. After a few years, the Argonauts passed by the same spot, on their chthonic return journey from Colchis at the opposite end of the world, and heard the lament of "shining" Aigle, one of the Hesperides, and viewed the still-twitching Ladon.
