________A very similar creature was made from scientific mutation. Scientists were trying to make a normal human have the ability to remotely extend arms and legs by sending messages from the brain. In order to do that, you'll need a certain amount of stretchable skin, muscle, tissue, bone, and cartilage. In the process of experimenting, they had try to store the skin in certain places (unfortunately these areas were never recorded) and wound up creating an excessive layer of the 'lab rat's' face. This caused the image of a faceless individual to occur. Since they had already fabricated longer arms and legs, the patient had died from the immense pain far too quickly to test out the extending and retracting phase. In order to not lose all their hard work, the scientists were trying to see if they can bring this 'human' back to life artificially. When they had, they realized the monster they had created and couldn't exterminate the procedure before the 'monster' escaped human grasp. Away from captivity, this creature feared humans for what they did to it and decided to flee to the forest in order to protect itself. It's not evil and it certainly isn't a rapist like its fake counterpart's sightings claim. Is this creature Slender Man? Absolutely not. While it may be similar, they're as different as night and day. Similarities between the two include....

-Faceless appearance which is due to the attempt at storing skin.
-Extended jelly limbs that are like that of a human's.
-Natural habitat as a way to stray from humans.
-Image of fear, from the mutation that most would consider evil.
-Sightings originating around the same time (Early 1900's to present)
