Afreet
An Afreet is a subclass of the Djinn. They are malevolent and powerful beings with great wisdom, but were known from lore to be evil and difficult to control. A few variations of spelling for Afreet are Ifrit, efreet, ifreet, afrite, and afrit and this supernatural sub-race of beings derive from Arabic and Islamic mythology. They are a class of infernal Jinn, on a level below that of angels and devils, which are noted for their strength and cunning.
An Ifrit is noted only once in the Qur'an, where it is willing to follow a command made by King Solomon to bring him The throne of the Queen of Sheba before "they" come to him in submission. An Afreet is said to be a massive winged creature, either male or female in gender, whom cannot be harmed by regular weapons(however magic is known to work on them). Afreets are known for their ruthlessness and even though they can reveal themselves as Positive or Negative, are more commonly encountered as negative.
