Don't Piss Off The Fairies!
1. Do not, and I repeat, do not call them fairies.
They are Fey (Fae or Fay are also be acceptable).
*yes I realize what the sign says and what the page is called*
2. Pixies are not fairies.
Pixies are Tinkerbell. They're little six inch people with wings that fly and talk like bells. Fairies are often human size and talk like humans and some have wings. (Goblins, however do not have wings)
3. Fairies can not "lie".
Now we are getting into the important things you should know in case you have a conversation with a fairy. If you word your questions to where you have to have a straight answer they will tell you the truth whether they want to or not. If you do not word your question right they will easily fool you with their answer. They are experts at dancing around the truth.
4. Iron.
A lot of Fay do not like Iron. It messes with their magic in some cases. They hate iron.

There are some very specific points about Irish fairies. They don't like being called fairies, they prefer to be called little folk, (even though they are not always little!) or better still, the Good Folk.
- Clutter, disorder, stacks of things that haven’t been sorted, and so on
- Bells. I know that some faeries likebells, but they are theirownbells. If your cat wears a bell, or you have a very rude alarm clock, or something like that, the noise may drive away the faeries.
- Water. Many “psychic” experiences are attributed to a deep, hidden stream under a building. Somefaeries are the opposite: They don’t like to cross a stream, hidden or visible. (Then again, we have plenty of faeries who live in or near the water, so this isn’t a firm rule.)
- Looking them in the eye. It is said that you can gain control over a faerie, especially a Leprechaun, if you look him/her straight in the eye and hold that gaze.
- Most fairies hate whistling, some hate singing, ESPECIALLY the GOBLINS.
