Fairy folk come in all different types, but their is one type of fairy that comes in a variety of forms. These are flower fairies and they are the most beautful type of fey known to man.

There is a fairy to every flower, here are a few types:

Bluebell Fairy: Bluebells carpet the woodland in late spring, creating a shimmering azure haze in which thousands of fairies dance. This is similar to the hue of the human 'etheric', which is the part of the aura closest to the body and easiest to see.

Buttercup Fairy: Sunny buttercup fairy brings you awareness of your gifts and helps you to feel confident, able to explore and express your talents in this lifetime. The golden 'cup' of this flower is full of bounty and cheer. The buttercup fairy is compassionate and has a deep understanding of human beings.

Clover Fairy: Clover has a leaf with three lobes, sometimes linked with the Triple Goddess: Maiden, Mother and Crone. The three-leaved clover can be carried as a protective charm. To find a four-leafed clover is, however, extremely lucky. Such leaves are rare, and may be taken to symbolize the four Elements of Earth, Fire, Air and Water, which is very magical.

Cowslip Fairy: The cowslip is a variety of primrose, appearing a little later in the spring, and a potent indication of fairy activity. Like the primrose fairy, cowslip fairy has a youthful innocence, and she will help to keep young anyone who carries her bloom.

Daisy Fairy: Daisies often grow on lawns and readily spring back up after the grass has been cut. The daisy fairy is very robust and does not worry about humans and their actions. for this reason she can be an effective guide into the realms of fairyland. Many other fairies are drawn close to daisies. A special gift of the daisy fairy is resilience and creativity.

Daffodil Fairy: The daffodil fairy blows the trumpet that ushers in the spring. As the fresh winds toss the daffodil flower, so the fairy within brings a message of clarity and new beginnings. Daffodil fairy can help you not only understand your true potential, but also tell the world about it. To the daffodil fairy we are all beautiful, and she helps us to see ourselves in this way.

Gorse Fairy: Gorse flowers all the year round and it is one of the functions of the gorse fairy to be cheering, even when the situation seems hopeless. She averts despair and shows a light at the end of any tunnel.

Heather Fairy: Heather fairy is said to supply her bloom so that the other fairies may feed on it. The faries do not literally feed on the plant, of course, but they may well absorb its essence, which is vibrant and protective.

Honeysuckle Fairy: Scent is the most primitive of the senses, connecting to the reptilian brain-ste. Fragrance has great power to evoke old memories and buried feelings, and this is well understood by the honeysuckle fairy.

Iris Fairy: The iris fairy is very special among the inhabitants of the Land of the Fairies. Iris was the Greek goddess of the rainbow, and the rainbow is more than a glorious showing forth of all the colours of the spectrum. It is also a bridge between this world and the subtle realms, of which fairies are a part.

Lavender Fairy: The lavender flower is modest in appearance, but wonderfully fragrant. Lavender has many therapeutic and magical uses. It soothes a number of ills, from headaches to stings and rashes, and has an effect that is both cleansing and calming.

Lilac Fairy: The nostalgic scent of lilac recalls the past and brings back long-forgotten emotions. Some of these emotions may be associated with past lives. Lilac fairy can awaken distant memories and enable you to realize that you have lived before, loved before and understood before.

Lily Fairy: The lily fairy brings great purity and spirituality. She has links with the angels, who are cosmic messengers. In particular she is associated with the Archangel Gabriel, who is often depicted holding a lily.

Marigold Fairy: The marigold fairy is strengthening and heartening. This is a fairy with powerful healing gifts, bringing with her the warmth of the sun to renew life a restore vigour. Folklore tells that marigolds picked at noon have the greatest power to comfort the heart, because at that time the marigold fairy will be
able to reflect the potency of the sun.

Poppy Fairy: Poppy fairy is the great bringer of dreams and visions, but to use these properly requires discrimination - they can bring confusion and even madness, or they can be correctly interpreted as offering different perspectives on life. Not all these perspectives may be available in the mortal state, but they can provide inspiration and creativity.

Primrose Fairy: The primrose forms a special portal to the fairy realms, and a primrose-studded bank around the time of the Spring Equinox is a very good place to see fairies of all kinds. Blue and red primroses growing in the garden attract fairies too, and keep the household from harm.

Rose Fairy: Roses carry an especially strong vibration, and the rose fairy has a particular power. Roses were sacred to Isis, the Egyptian goddess, said to be the most complete goddess-form ever evolved.

Snapdragon Fairy: The snapdragin is a fiery fairy who can help you repel all negative energies. Wear a snapdragon on your body and no one will ever be able to pull the wool over your eyes, for snapdragon fairy is far to cute, and will burn away the dross, to reveal the truth.

Tulip Fairy: Like so many fairies, the tulip fairy is associated with love. The tulip is shaped like a chalice, and this is the 'loving cup' from which tulip fairy encourages you to imbibe, to feel the blessings of Nature. One of the messages of tulip fairy is to have the courage to be vulnerable, because only in this way can any of us ever know closeness and fulfilment.

Violet Fairy: The modest spirit of violet epitomizes all the quallities that are needed to attract fairies, such as humility and simplicity. In acient Greece violets were worn to promote tranquillity and facilitate sleep.
